I experienced a reprieve from verbal attacks for a few weeks, but the reprieve changed yesterday. Yesterday I received a phone message from someone I had only met once. They did not say what they were calling about, so I let it slide to a lower priority.
This week is full, and I was only returning calls to family, people I know and who left a short message of why they desired to talk to me.
My emails, messenger, text and phone is full this week. Priorities is the key word in this season.
Late today a 2nd message arrived from the same caller.
I was blasted, describing me in a way that was really painful. They said, they were speaking up for someone else! I am so glad I did not answer my phone, and let the proof be dropped into my voicemail.
The life of speaking in public venues whether online or off, can be challenging.
Stay tuned for Part 2. On how to handle such people and not allow people to chew us up and spit us out.
